Satisfaction in work is greater than wealth.

Once there was a woodcutter. He used to work at the rate of 200 rupees per hour.

A social researcher conducted the experiment and told the woodcutter that if he worked in his garden he would pay him double.

The woodcutter agreed. Researchers gave him an axe and told him to cut the tree, but not to use the edge of the axe, but to use a thick round part.

The surprised woodcutter asked, how will this tree be cut down?

The researcher said – it does not matter. I am giving you 400 rupees per hour.

The woodcutter said – well, I mean money too. I will continue the work.

He kept hitting the thick part of the axe on the tree for 5 days, but the tree was not affected. Then he contacted the researcher on the sixth day and said – I am leaving work.

The researcher said smilingly – But I am paying you double salary.

Then the woodcutter said – I do not enjoy work. There must be some change in my work or I should get some results. If there is no change or no result, I will not get satisfaction in working.

Lesson – Unless you enjoy work, then no matter how much money you get, you do not get satisfaction.
