ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ. ਬਲਬਨ ਨੇ ਦਿਲੀ ਸਲਤਨਤ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੰਗਠਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ?
ਉੱਤਰ : ਬਲਬਨ 1266-1286 ਈ: ਤੱਕ ਦਾਸ ਵੰਸ਼ ਦਾ ਅੰਤਲਾ ਮਹਾਨ ਸ਼ਾਸਕ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਈਆਂ ਢੰਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਸਲਤਨਤ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਗਠਤ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਯਤਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਮੀਰਾਂ ਵਜ਼ੀਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਲਤਾਨ ਦੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਦੈਵੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਸਿਧਾਂਤ ਦਾ ਤਿਪਾਦਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਰੋਹੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਹਤ ਸਖਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਦਬਾਇਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬੰਗਾਲ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਰੋਹ, ਦਿੱਲੀ ਲਾਗੇ ਮੇਵਾਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਗੰਗਾ ਯਮੁਨਾ ਦੁਆਬ ਦੇ ਡਾਕੂਆਂ ਆਦਿ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਹੇ ਤੇ ਰਕਤ ਨੀਤੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੁਚਲ ਕੇ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੰਗੋਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਮਲੇ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ ਖਾਸ ਸੈਨਾ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੀ। ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਕਿਲ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਮੁਰੰਮਤ ਕਰਵਾਈ। ਸੀਮਾਵਰਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਂਤਾਂ ਮੁਲਤਾਨ ਤੇ ਸਮਾਨਾ ਵਿਚ ਨਵੀਂ ਖਾਸ ਸੈਨਾ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਤੈਨਾਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਮੀਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਵਧੀਆ ਗੁਪਤਚਰ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਲਾਗੂ ਕੀਤਾ। ‘ਚਾਲੀਆਂ’ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ। ਰਾਜਪੂਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਈਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਰਾ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਰਾਜ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਕਠੋਰ ਅਨੁਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਲਾਗੂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਸਰਦਾਰਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਖੋਹ ਲਈ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਸਲਤਨਤ ਦਾ ਸੰਗਠਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ।

उत्तर: बलबन 1266-1286 ई. तक दास वंश का अंतिम महान शासक था। उसने कई प्रकार से दिल्ली सल्तनत को संगठित करने का प्रयास किया। सबसे पहले उसने अमीरों और वज़ीरों के बीच सुल्तान की प्रतिष्ठा बढ़ाने के लिए दैवीय अधिकार का सिद्धांत लागू किया। उसने विद्रोहियों का अत्यंत कठोरता से दमन किया। उसने लौह एवं रक्त नीति से बंगाल के विद्रोह, दिल्ली के निकट मेवातियों तथा गंगा-यमुना दोआब आदि के डकैतों को कुचल दिया। उसने मंगोलों के आक्रमणों को रोकने के लिए एक विशेष सेना तैयार की। पुराने किलों की मरम्मत करायी। सीमावर्ती प्रांतों मुल्तान और समाना में एक नया विशेष बल तैयार करके तैनात किया गया। उसने अमीरों पर नज़र रखने के लिए गोपनीयता की एक परिष्कृत प्रणाली लागू की। चालियों’ की ताकत को नष्ट कर दिया। उसने कई स्थानों पर राजपूतों को पराजित कर अपने अधीन कर लिया। उसने राजदरबार में कठोर अनुशासन लागू किया। सरदारों से शक्ति छीन ली गई। उस के महान प्रयासों से दिल्ली सल्तनत संगठित हुई।

Answer: Balban was the last great ruler of the Das dynasty from 1266-1286 AD. He tried to organize the Delhi Sultanate in many ways. Firstly he applied the principle of divine right to enhance the prestige of the Sultan among the amirs and viziers. He suppressed the rebels with the utmost severity. With his iron and blood policy, he crushed the rebellion of Bengal, the Mewatis near Delhi and the dacoits of Ganga-Yamuna Doab, etc. He prepared a special army to stop the Mongol invasions. Got the old forts repaired. A new special force was created and deployed in the border provinces of Multan and Samana. He implemented a sophisticated system of secrecy to keep an eye on the rich. Destroyed the power of the ‘chalias’. He defeated the Rajputs at many places and brought them under his control. He imposed strict discipline in the royal court. Power was taken away from the chieftains. The Delhi Sultanate was organized due to his great efforts.
