1. Panchayti Raj System – It is the process through which people participate in their own government.
2. Gram Sabha – Gram Sabha is a meeting of all the adults who live in the area covered by the panchayat.
3. Gram Panchayat – It is the body of elected refpresentatives at village level.
4. Sarpanch – Sarpanch is the president of village p and he is elected by the people of village.
5. Panch -They are the members of village panchayat.
6. Below Laverty Line (BPL) – When the monthly income of the people does not provide two meals a day it is called below poverty line.
7. Zila Parishad – Panchayat at district level is called Zila Parishad.
8. Block Samiti – Panchayat consisting of several Gram Panchayats at block level is called Block Samiti.
