ਉੱਤਰ – ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਰਣਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਆਜ਼ਿਮ ਖ਼ਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਫ਼ੌਜਾਂ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ 14 ਮਾਰਚ, 1823 ਈ. ਨੂੰ ਨੌਸ਼ਹਿਰਾ ਜਾਂ ਟਿੱਬਾ ਟੇਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਸਥਾਨ ‘ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਬੜਾ ਭਿਅੰਕਰ ਯੁੱਧ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਇਆ। ਇਸ ਲੜਾਈ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਫ਼ਗਾਨ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਹਾਵੀ ਰਹੇ। ਅਕਾਲੀ ਫੂਲਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਕਈ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਯੋਧਾ ਇਸ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਰਣਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਫ਼ੌਜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਨਵਾਂ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਭਰਿਆ। ਹੁਣ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਫ਼ਗ਼ਾਨ ਫ਼ੌਜਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਜ਼ੋਰਦਾਰ ਹਮਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਲੜਾਈ ਦੇ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੌੜਨਾ ਪਿਆ। ਇਸ ਨਿਰਣਾਇੱਕ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਦੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਫ਼ੌਜਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੌਂਸਲੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਧ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਆਜ਼ਿਮ ਖ਼ਾਂ ਇਸ ਅਪਮਾਨ ਕਾਰਨ ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਸਿਧਾਰ ਗਿਆ।

उत्तर – 14 मार्च, 1823 को महाराजा रणजीत सिंह और आज़म खान की सेनाओं के बीच नौशहरा (टिब्बा टिहरी) नामक स्थान पर भीषण युद्ध छिड़ गया। युद्ध की शुरुआत में, सिखों पर अफगानों का प्रभुत्व था। इस लड़ाई में अकाली फूला सिंह और कई अन्य प्रसिद्ध योद्धा मारे गए। ऐसे समय में महाराजा रणजीत सिंह ने अपनी सेनाओं में एक उत्साह पैदा किया। सिखों ने अब अफगान सेना पर इतना भयंकर हमला किया कि उन्हें अपनी जान बचाने के लिए युद्ध के मैदान से भागना पड़ा। इस निर्णायक लड़ाई में महाराजा की जीत से उनके सैनिकों का हौंसला बहुत बढ़ गया और इस अपमान के कारण आज़म खान जल्द ही परलोक सिधार गए।

Answer – On March 14, 1823, a fierce battle broke out between the armies of Maharaja Ranjit Singh and Azam Khan at a place called Naushera (Tibba Tehri). At the beginning of the war, the Sikhs were dominated by the Afghans. Akali Phula Singh and many other famous warriors were killed in this battle. At such a time, Maharaja Ranjit Singh created a fervor in his armies. The Sikhs now attacked the Afghan army so fiercely that they had to flee the battlefield to save their lives. The victory of the Maharaja in this decisive battle greatly boosted the spirit of his soldiers and due to this humiliation, Azam Khan soon went to the next world.
